Soccer

After finding pictures for my senior collage, i came across this picture and remembered playing at the 2006 Far West Regionals. There was a booth at the tournament that showed how fast you could kick a soccer ball. My fastest was shot was 71 mph which is equivalent to around 114 km/h (31.67 m/s); the speed was taken about 2 meters away. Through the kinematic equation V^2 = Vo^2 + 2ax and F = ma, i am able to find the force in my shot. The ball is about 410g.

(31.67)^2 = 0 + 2(a)(2)
a = 250.75 m/s^2

F = (.410)(250.75)
F = 102.8 N
