China Walls

I went to China Walls a couple of weekends ago with a couple of my friends. We were basically just jumping off the edge into the water for the entire time. I never realized how much force and momentum a wave actually had until one literally destroyed me. When i was getting out of the water, i thought i could hold on to the rocks, which was probably the worst mistakes of my life. The wave totally knocked me off the rock and slammed me into more rocks which really hurt a lot. I was lucky that there were no vana (the black sea urchin thing) on the rock that i hit. I realized that the mass of the water in the wave is enormous compared to my own, which was the probable reason why i had no chance of hanging on to the rock. The wave had to much momentum for me to be able to hang on.

china walls is great. something about surfing right up against this monstrous slab of rock is surreal. meanwhile, have you ever considered jumping at spitting caves? i've always wanted to, but too many people die there, so i don't know...
